The nomination period, which closed on August 9, 2024, saw us spreading the word far and wide through email, social media and word of mouth. Thanks to your enthusiasm and support, we now have a wealth of outstanding candidates to evaluate. We truly appreciate everyone who helped by helping us spread the word!

What’s Next?

Now, the real work begins. As we strive to identify the very best that Orlando has to offer, our team will carefully review each nominee. This involves verifying that they meet the criteria for their nominated category and ensuring all locations are correctly listed in our system.

For businesses with a single location, the process is straightforward—we’ll tally up their votes and reviews to calculate the final score. However, for businesses with multiple locations, things get a bit more complex. The number of votes and reviews can greatly influence the outcome, and we’re committed to ensuring that larger businesses don’t gain an unfair advantage simply because of their size. To keep things fair, we average out reviews across all locations.

This process is quite time-consuming, which is why it takes us some time to announce the official nominees. Over the next few weeks, our small team will work diligently to get everything sorted, and we aim to announce the nominees over the next few weeks. Voting will be September 9 – 20, with winners being announce at our 2024 awards ceremony (tentatively scheduled for November 12 + 13).
